Allan de la Plante DTM

Every once in a while life presents you a gift of something special.  When de la Plante was approached by Canada Post about using his images for two new stamps on Gilles Villenneuve he was in tears.  He was allowed to suggest the images that should be used for the stamps.  He chose the T3 for the 90 cent stamp as it was the car in which Villeneuve had his first F1 win.  De la Plante chose the 1979 T4 for the 45 cent stamp as it was the Ferrari Villeneuuve enjoyed most and the car he very nearly won the World Championship with.  The double image of the 45 cent stamp is de la Plante's signature style for portraiture of athletes.
